Eight months to a Formula

3 Attachment(s)
After an exhausting search since the week after Labor Day, I finally have the Formula I've been looking for. It was delivered last Sunday and I got it on Tuesday. With all the chit deals and chit boats I've gone through along the way, I promised not to post until I physically took possesion of the boat. My better half had theorized that everytime I made a perspective boat my laptop background, the deal would fall through. As usual, she was correct. I'd like to thank my boat buddies for all their advice and guidance through the search, Axa, Rip, Ragged, and MV, you guys have been great. OK, here she is, '02 353, 500EFIs, XR drives, 97 hours, Myco Aluminum trailer. :D :D :D :D

Congrats on the toy, I love the graphics as you can tell. It is a great feeling picking up your new toy and even better when it's in the water cruising across the wakes.

Best of luck w/ her
JB

I'm very happy for you and yours Mike.

I know what you went thru to find one!

5PMSMWHR 05-25-2007 04:33 PM

Thanks everyone. We boat out of Oswego June and July through Harborfest and then take it up to Peyton Place, uhhhhhh, I mean Hutchinson's boathouse in Alex Bay. The Duramax kicks ass towing this rig. Not having surge brakes is also sweet. Right now I don't have the NY paperwork to splash it. Holiday weekends in 'swego have literally 5-6 different enforcement agencies in the harbor. As it is, I towed it home and then realized there was no tag on the trailer  My thought is to drop it off at my boat guys place and have him do some PM before I splash it. He's $45 an hour and his work is impeccable. The little woman and i are working the name issue so we'll be looking for some assist from AXA's vinyl guy.

Rippem 05-25-2007 04:37 PM

I was trying figure how to get something I wanted in the midst of 100 other projects and...

SHAZAM!

hookup with the "towel-guy" :p

how 'bout changing the "closer" to "arrived"

4mulafastech 05-25-2007 07:48 PM

Very nice! Love the graphics. Congrats!

A.W. 05-25-2007 08:01 PM

I've always thought Formula made a great looking boat, and your boat is more evidence of that. Congrats, enjoy the ride.:drink:

Axa,

Yes, I'm aware the Vinyl guy is a chick, are you home or the Bay? My hands are numb from cleaning the miles of vinyl on this thing, 710 tee time, looks like rain......

If you would like, you come finish the drywall sanding and I'll finish up the vynil. :D Deal? or No Deal?

Looking a little overcast up here as well, rain looking likely at some point. Probably work this AM then make the weekly trip to Lowes and the Depot this afternoon, the little woman needs a new kitchen sink. I'll be glad when weekends only mean having to buy that $4.00/gal gas.

Like the deck paint, flames are

axapowell 05-27-2007 09:16 AM

In the "rainy" Bay. Real nice yesterday, cloudy and rain today. Good day to hang out an watch TV or a movie or clean some more. I hear ya on the miles of vinyl.

Rip, I'll let you know.

Dave

5PMSMWHR 05-27-2007 06:37 PM

Axa,is there wifi in the boathouse? This could work to my advantage for 16 hours a week in August :D Rainng here.....

Love the new hold down device, you need to call Rip and have him get you some of that white medical tape for the true custom look. It's all about the BLING!!!

Can we start a new thread: "Eight months waiting for Ragged to launch his boat"? (I know you've been busy:D )

Axa,

Thanks for all the phone support the last few days. Bilge issues are all set, got the new brake controller today, the better half is out of town Wed., Thurs., so I'll be up waxing the top deck. Pic is a Chris Columbus Santa Maria replica heading out of Oswego Sunday.

You could if you want to. But I don't think it will be in eight months, chit froze up pretty tight in January around here. But then you're from down south. I'll let you do that pool thing again this year, but only if Samantha is allowed to get in. :p :D

I have one of those as well, sits on the entertainment center here. My father made it, as well as the other two, Nina and Pinta, when he was a kid about 77-78 years ago. Mine is a little smaller though.

Wonder if old Chris used that radar unit to find the New World?
