I am goining to put in a lift for my 353. My question is how long are your bunks? If you have a lift under your 353 how many lbs. is it rated for? What hp is the lift motors. Some up close pictures would be a big help.

You want 16' bunks that go from the transom forward, then a cradle in the front. Are you lifting on a hydrohoist? I'd go with a 10k lb lift for your boat.

Sorry I should have elaborated. It must be a four post lift I am affraid a hydrohoist would not be stable in my location.

jim, i have a 353 on a 16,000lb Hi-Tide "topless" lift.....it is a great lift. it was recomended to me by a good friend who is a dock builder. I have no regrets. Formula will send youu a "bottom diagram" and Hi Tide will make wooden bunks for you. Good Luck!!!! Eric:drink:

Those options are very nice,my problem is facing north west with wind and boat traffic where we are bayfront floating lift would not be stable enough. Got to be a pole lift.

Jim just had mine installed at Escape Harbor marina on 31 st by Howards restaurant its a 292 but go take a look at it and how we cut the bunks to fit the steps
If you need # of who bought it from let me know.Its a 13000 lb lift on four pilings which is over kill but I would rather be that way.Also Formula will email you a blueprint of the bottom with all the measurments I forwarded it to Staples and they made it 3'x5' that helped a lot

Have my 292 on an 11,000 Lb Davit Master lift which is attached to 4 steel pilings. I think the bunks are 12 or 14? Never had a problem. The boat stays there all year (ice just freezes underneath). Just bought something different so will be moving to a 16,000 or 20,000 Davit Master, but that is a different story...........:evilb: Anybody looking for a good clean 1989 292SR1?
