Angry New Web Site

FORMULA JUST POSTED IT'S NEW SITE.
1- THE SS310 IS STILL UNDERPOWERED WITH 6.2'S????
2- AND THE PRICES ARE OVERPOWERING, WHOA?!!

A BAJA DEALER QUOTED A FULLY DRESSED 31' WITH ARCH, A/C, ALL THE WHISTLES AND BELLS AND TWIN 496HO'S WITH A TRAILER FOR LESS THAN AN SS310 COMPARABLY DRESSED WITH 6.2's WITH NO TRAILER. HEELLLLOOOOO.

I FEAR THAT I'M OUT OF ANY THING NEW FROM FORMULA. AND WHY CONSIDER A USED FORMULA WHEN A NEW COMPARABLE BAJA WITH MUCH MORE POWER IS MORE AFFORDABLE. I DUNNO.... ACTUALLY, I DO KNOW.

Formula is an expensive boat, but you get what you pay for. Dealers will cut some percentage off the retail prices. Look at resale value of comparable boats a few years old. Personally, I wouldn't consider owning a Baja.

I agree with RedDog....First off you get what you pay for. Re-sale is a good indicator of quality. What will it get you back in 5 years? I personally would not pay the $$$ for a new boat, but would purchase ANY Formula that is 2-5 years old. Let someone else be the burden of depreciation!!

The more I poke around in my Formula, the happier I am that I got a great deal. When you look at details like crimped, soldered, heatshrink-wrapped wire connections, fully-bonded electrical systems, fully-backed deck hardware, and top-quality hardware and accessories, you realize that you bought something very different from a Baja (or Four Winns...)

You can by a Yugo for a lot less than a Lexus, too.

All caps is considered SHOUTING.

C Spray, thanks for the comment having to do with shouting. Critique accepted.

As to all others and their thoughts, in my heart, I know you're correct. It's just that, to step up to the plate for a quarter million $, or more,... for a toy... causes me some pucker problems. Damn! I'm waffling, here. I know, fish or cut bait. Just a wanna be's trepidation. After all, one of these things costs 2 1/2 times more than a Mercedes S-Class. Zowee!

Checked out the website for the 08 models. I've been checking in everyday in anticipation. Not sure what to think about some of the new color schemes (i.e. Silver Series #1) as well as the silver dash on some of the new 08's. I like the Stealth Blue Imron and some of the others Orange and Lime. I can do with out the yellow's. I would prefer they keep the colors simple and classic. Other opinions on the new 08's?

Cripes! That's a lot of paint schemes. Took me several minutes to go through all the 382 options. I like the black and silver combinations, but black is tough to keep looking nice. I think that a lot of the paint schemes pay tribute to earlier years, but with an update look. (See the boat in the background below, and compare it to "Gold 1, 2 or 3 Series Stealth Red" - pretty cool.)
I had heard that they were going to do some schemes more like the "Flagship" packages that hey put on PC's and SS's, but I see that they couldn't bring themselves to go that simple on a go-fast. Oh, well - keeps mine unique!
