State Farm (Scott Beatty in Amsterdam NY) 1000/yr full coverage on a 2001 271 w/ 496 HO+trailer. This is my first "real" (titled) boat. I am 45 and a couple speeding tickets.

I am now 25, but when I was 21, I was insured on a 382 w/500's, for around 3500/yr. My last boat policy was with Progressive, and I was 23. 38donzi w/600's@4k/yr. So, Progressive will write it, but its gonna hurt.

Good Point. But still not bad, compared to some of the other companies I recieved quotes from.
I spoke with someone at a Large Boat Insurance Company in NY, I can't remember the name. But they laughed when I asked for a quote. I never heard back from them!

You will be boating near me most of the time and I will tell you that a 29 is borderline out in the ocean. So you will be inside with the 27.Problem is If you by new with Formulas interest rates, and want to go bigger in two years you will be upside down because it will be cheaper for the next guy to buy a new one.Buy a clean used boat then get what you want in a few years you will probably want at least a 35 call me if you are around this weekend Tim

Expensive Date- I'm thinking of going out on my fathers 31 PC this weekend. Saturday most likely, we'll probably be spending that day over at Tices Shoal. Since I'm not the captain or the owner I have no choice or say in where we go. Your more then welcome to stop by for a drink or two, I would love to check out your 292 if your willing to make the trip over to Tices Shoal this weekend. Out of all the years I've been going down there, I have yet to a newer 292. Seen plenty of 353's no 292's though. When's a good time to reach you Tim. My name's Brian by the way.
