Im looking to give my fastech a different look by removing the windshield and replacing it with a white lower profile windscreen, anyone ever look into this?

a couple boats have had the windshield replaced with a windscreen......I think the windsheild is worthless since it's laid back so far it doesn't lift the air up at all but the boat just looks weird without the glass. Not sure where to find pics but they exist on OSO

I agree I do not like the looks of the Fast Tecs with the fairings.

Red Dog, MajicFloat and Plumbers Crack have experience with windscreens on a 382...Talk to them and they could give you some good input.

I have the '99 382 Poker Run Special. It orignially had a fairing which looked different, but basically provided nothing in the way of wind protection. Just not what I wanted for the type of boating I do. I was very fortunate to find a polished stainless windshield from another OSO member (bripar) who replaced it with a custom-made fairing.

The decks are different. Finding a fairing for a 312 would be very tough, doubt any we ever made. The 382 fairings were basically one off deals, each was different. A couple were made for 353 raceboats, also one off. Last time I checked Formula had a 382 fairing in stock, but won't fit a 312. Of the 4 Fastechs I have sold with fairings,3 have replaced with windshields and the 4th wishes he had one.A member here made one for his 311 I believe, looked nice,do a search. But be sure what you want,A Formula is a "Gentlemen's Performance Boat",and gentlemen prefer windshields.
