Broker/Birddog fee ideas

Actually,I sold the boat to the guy and removed the ad. Would he have bought it if the unauthorized broker had not shown him the ad? I have no idea. But I did tell him I would pay a bird dog fee,and I always keep my word. I guess it's all good,I sold the boat at the asking price,and I would probrably have come down as much as I paid the broker. So,bottom line,I'm happy,broker is happy,buyer is happy. But I am going to explain to him that next time I will not pay anything,he is on his on. What a crazy business.

BTW, if you (or anyone else) hears of a good formula 260 bow rider
or Cobalt 272 Bow Rider... Please let me know...
My wife has given me a huge budget of $20K for a new boat (OK... it's not really THAT huge
) but I figure
that means that I can really stretch it to the mid 20's if I have to.
I know that's not much money... so I'm probably talkin' a boat
about 10 yrs old or more, but I'm OK with that.
