I installed stainless marine exhaust over the winter. How power do you think I picked up. i am running6.2's

Do you have GPS? How much top speed did you pick up?

I installed the imco headers in my 04 292 saw about a 4mph difference at sea level. Much better out of the hole too. Be sure to take the silent thunder off.

4 MPH ? Wow. That is a lot. So what is your top speed now and what props are you using ?

gorgeous boats.....too bad you cant get'em with twin 496's or 525's.

The 292 was designed for small blocks only. Even if you could shoe horn big blocks into it,there would be so much weight in the stern it would float like a Fountain,and we don't want that The best setup was the 377 Scorpions,we sold a few,nice performance,but Merc discontinued them.Best choice now is aftermarket mods on 350's or 6.2's. Don't discount the small blocks,lots of mods available from respected vendors.80+ is obtainable,our 377's ran that fast,but they cost too much. With the money you save on 6.2's over 377's,you can buy some serious aftermarket horsepower.

What other kind of mods can I do to the 6.2's without killing the reliablity
