Thanks for the support, folks. There are times when this seems like more than we can handle, but if you tackle things on a one-by-one basis, you suddenly notice progress. For example, now I'm clean when I come home from working on it and the money outflow has slowed to a trickle. It's way more fun bolting shiny, clean, freshly-refurbished parts back on that it was to pull rusty, grimy bits off and spend hours in the parts washer and glass-bead booth. I'm sooo grateful for Dianne's help - What a trooper. I shudder to imagine what this project would cost at $80 or $100 per hour for some shop's labor! Hopefully, I'll have more pictures of visible progress to post next week. |

They were there from the factory, although I am missing one on the starboard side. I'm just going to use some of the "Good Stuff" expanding foam that comes in a aerosol can to fill that one in, and seal it over with a layer of West System epoxy. I don't see any need for them to be removable.

C Spray, thanks keeping the thread alive. I'm sort of doing the same thing with my 382 and my wife is very supportive. I'm at that point where you are, but my power objective is completely different then yours. If I could learn how to post pics I would share.

Jenks, There will be plenty of more pics and posts. This boat is going thru a multi faceted upgrade.
Posting pics is easy... just make sure you have them downsized. Microsoft image resizer works well and is free on the microsoft site. |
