Default Deck Clearcoat Peeling?

I am having the clear coat on top of the graphics on the deck re done due to peeling. The clear was only peeling where it was shot on top of the gelcoat. It was bonded correctly to the colors, but not to the gelcoat. A razor blade was all that was needed to remove it from the gelcoat, but the part on top of the colors had to be sanded off. It looks like the gelcoat was not sanded at all before applying the clear, this is why it peeled off.

Has anyone else had this problem? I know the boat I bought was stored outside for some time without a cover which I am sure did not help things. The painter siad that had the gelcoat been sanded the clear would have not peeled off. The graphics were applied by Formula or one of their contractors.

Uncovered IMO would help not hurt your problem... Maybe call up Formula and ask them?
