Default Controls drive cable switching

Can you switch the cables on the controls without taking the apart? Or do you need to split the controls open?

Should be able to change the cables WITHOUT splitting them. Whak kind of controls do you have?

Unscrew quadrant lift clear of dash. Remove cotter pin from lower locking pin and slide out pin. The end of cable has a hook type fastener look carefully to see which direction it opens to. Move cable approx 90 degree to the side to unhook. You may need to move lever to achieve nec. angle. Reassemble in same manner.
