None the less, those that can do, those that can't pay someone else then wonder why it's not up to their expectations. Now tell me you were 100% elated with what they did for you. Do you think I should? Is that even possible? I mean to be faster than Super Bird Boy? BTW...... How's things in the World Champion Racer world these days? Looks like your owner Doug has had his fill. You putting together your own team for next year to carry on the loosing legacy? "Here's your chance to own the race boat that the Black Biotch spanked!" Event video can be included on request at no charge. Watch the Bite Me Fountain Boy take on the World Class throttle man, Super Bird Dave, in a match of high risk on the waters of the mighty St. Lawrence River. See Super Bird Dave finish a race, a World Class First ever event, finish that is, though sadly not the first finisher. Watch as Bite Me Fountain Boy takes up the challenge even after being sternly told by Super Bird Dave of the dangers of trying to run near the World Championship race boat. Also available to all race fans for $9.99 a copy. Great for gift giving, and a big LOL LOL with friends and family. Available @ Bite Me Fountain Boy.com/wannaberacergetsspanked/lollollol-biteme |

All I said was "I'm just not happy with the appearance" and the response I got was... "got a shop in mind?" "go to town till your happy and have them bill us directly" (try that with Fountain) busting your tiny balls. Rick at East Cost disclosed the problem before I ever went to see the boat. I brought up the paint, the response was here is the estimate that Dan, the owner also in on my deal, has had done on the work, we will make it right. Done. Any different here? Truth is that there is not a single manufacturer of the paint these boat builders use, including Formula with their Imron, that will in any way, shape, or manner guarantee or even remotely recommend their paint below the water line on a boat whether it's in the water for 5 minutes or 5 months. |

what is it you do again? Manage things! :D Commercial and residential properties. Just finished up a 100K+ lease renewal upgrade on the Verizon rental, have a contractor doing major lease upgrades on the Encon building to set them up for the next ten year haul. Spent my free time this summer doing the annual rehab on my 7 townhouses, threw in a bunch of new doors and one complete kitchen reno. Few odds and ends on the commercial spaces in my downtown building to keep those folks happy. This past Tuesday and Wednesday on the roof of the downtown building with Pete Perry replacing one apartment skylight and all day today by myself on the roof doing some general maintenance, and will be back up there all day Friday, weather permitting. Kinda like the boat storage barn biz, only a little bit bigger and slightly more demanding. Then there is the dabbling in the contract flooring biz. Spent all summer on the SLU campus doing the second largest flooring job I have ever done, as well as a bunch of other assorted smaller jobs for them as well. A decent years worth of flooring biz work in 3 months, all done ahead of time, and I might add the only one on the project with a "zero" punch list. Back on campus thruout the upcoming semester break for some additional work for them. Not to mislead here, I don't actually do the installs, I just manage all of it. Other than that not really too much, I just generally fu@k off most days, wax the boat and drink an occasional cocktail. But what the fu@k, that's why they pay me the big bucks. And you lately? |
I cannot begin to imagine you moving fast enough to do half of what you list...
but hey... It's your Donald Trump dream, blow it up in full color. so basically what your saying is you rent a couple of storefronts and did one flooring job this year? Just curious, is that building what you were given when your brother stepped into dad's GM dealership? |
I wouldn't stray into real job-for-real job "demanding"...
you don't have a clue. ;) but the upside is that when I leave this building it's behind me for the day (or 3-4 days :D) and the rest of life is easy in comparison. |

Just curious, is that building what you were given when your brother stepped into dad's GM dealership? What can I say sport, it's all done. Effective management! And no, no freebies from Roy C Barstow, nobody gave it to him and he wasn't about to give it away. I did buy the building from my father and he did at one time hold the mortgage, as he did on the dealership for my brother, as well as the NAPA store for my sister and brother in law. It was his retirement program. He did not however front the money for the townhouse build deal and the Historical rehab on the downtown building, he threw me out on my own for that 400K. Honestly, he was not in favor of that whole brainstorm of mine, but he did support my right to fall on my face all by myself. I am today what that man allowed me to become. Any more questions? Parting thought here.................. I would bet that if the Donald had a barn......................It would be just like yours. |

Well you chose your path, I chose mine. Look at it this way, you could be worried about the market, money under management, loss of portfolio value,( I think about that but it will either come back around or I'll die and it won't be my problem anymore) calls, puts, futures, bailouts, and all that depressing chit, not a fun day to day issue. Life's Good! Wax on ,wax off! Must be nice to play on the hospital's dime. Slow night perk? |
