Yeah no point in rushing it if you need any help let me know I'm sure Steve would lend a hand too we've had enough motors out in the last few years we've had alot of practice

... Let's get this thread back on track...What has anyone done to slow their boat down for the season?
Dave All for that, about time. Figure it's slow enough, might have knocked a tenth or two off it with the couple extra coats of wax on the deck, might be a wash with the gell I buffed off though. :lolhit: I am considering some additional gems in the prop collection, a man just can't have too many sets kicking around taking up space. I have a prop guy that seems to be real good at making fast props even slower. For a fee that is! Curiosity here ..... How many seasonal Formula residents in the HBW Boathouse this season? Excluding 5P, I know he's a regular part season visitor. |

. If you need someone to do them for you that is 100% trustworthy let me know. My friend that freshened up the 500's for me would treat you right, he know's his chit and will not do you wrong. He was more than reasonable on my deal, I never asked and actually expected a lot more based on what some people claim. |

Gonna turn the props back to "out" and see if I can still dock it too. That will shave off a couple too!

I won't mention any names, but didn't you have an excessive oil usage problem and VERY low oil pressure after that re-build?
Dave Not really, and they are still running like champs as built some three seasons later, and faster now with the shorties, so I hear. When you polish the crank to clean it up you will normally see a little less on the pressure gauge. Excepting a total lack of it, oil pressure in and of itself does not make an engine live longer. If you feel the need for a big number on the gauge they make high pressure pumps, they also make high volume pumps if you are so inclined, did neither. It's not how hard it is for the oil to move thru the engine but the fact that it does that really counts in the long run. Just my opinion for what it's worth. |

I'm adding more weight to the tank to slow it down some more and more 1st class Bling!! Should be cool...Everything has been rolling in UPS. I have to stop at the machince shop tomorrow and pick up a few more custom made goodies!! :drink:

Not to mention, Slower! Might want to rethink this one, your bud Kelly is thinking you two might have a 600 shootout down in the Pond. Simple question ........... You, 5P as a part seasoner, and other Flormula'ites? / or not? No hiddden adgenda here, just a question. Folks come, folks go, some folks come back, some folks don't. |
