Anyome else stuck at work this weekend? Suns shining 80 degrees and I'm stuck at the office all weekend long

Boats still in the drive way with the shrink wrap on it. I guess the plus side, I don't have to worry about washing the bird crap of it.

I'm on shore for a while longer as well with a little glitch, but I'm putting my time to good use.

You're gonna' need to do a lot more than wash the bird crap off it before you show up here this summer. Spent all last weekend, a pair of 9-10 hour days, 10+ today, and likely another 9-10 tomorow puttin' the shine on a Velocity. Believe me you have your work cut out for you! By the time it's done it will likely be 100+ man hours.

I know I can get a little carried away with chit at times, but wait till you see Pete's 32, his boat is F'n awesome now!!! Only thing in the boathouse that's going to out shine it is the Black Biotch.

Damn, I do love it when a plan comes together! :drink:

P.S. You may be the King of the River, but I am the undisputed King of Shine!

OK I'll give you that title. SO Pete's boats going to be looking good this year, I didn't think it looked all that bad to start with. But then again a little extra never hurts. Mom said that most were back in the boat house this p0ast weekend except for the Pete's.

It was oxidized real bad, deck and hullsides, and that's a kind descreption!

The Petes were in the yard finishing up the boat all weekend. Looks better than new, he's real pleased, makes it worth the effort to get it there for him. Had to wet sand the deck from 600 all the way up to 1500, the buff the chit out of it with Fast Cut followed by Finess-It. Then did the entire deck again by hand with 1500 and re-buffed to get it where it needed to be. Then wet sand the hullsides with 1500 and buff out. Then two coats of wax on the whole boat, just a little project. Between the two of us close to 80 hours in two weekends, plus he has another couple days wet sanding smaller areas to get it ready to buff out. Plus he has the windshield off to polish and then reinstall with a new gasket. If you do it right it takes some serious time, people wonder why it costs so much to bring a boat back into shape, run our hours at $60-80 per hour.

I do hear things are off to a great start @ HBW, as the Boathouse Turns 2010.
