They have, with the help of an old producer friend, gotten back to the "power trio" thing, a harder sound.
The new material is pretty pure...
"Beyond the Lighted Stage" is the band documentary that's playing limited now...
Incredible 2 boyhood friends take up playing high school dances in a small town...eventually hook up with the eccentric reserved genius drummer son of a local tractor dealership owner who's working in the parts dept...
The part about touring with Kiss in the 70's and after the show (highly irregular) in their rooms eating cereal watching TV and devouring (Niel) literature which is where all the fancical themes and lyrics have come from over the decades...
...resting for the next performance
Niel losing his daughter and wife inside of a year, the future of the band uncertian, disappearing for 50+K miles on his bike in two years and returning to say to the other two what a tragedy it would be if they never played together again
(so very true)
these guys have always given work ethic, musicianship, and showmanship a new name.
They are perfectionists as musicians and have written and performed perfectly some (many) of the most complicated rock arrangements ever by any band.
Stoked. Especially after reading the reviews along the way.
An older more dignified rock audience who appreciate the life story as well as the music behind this band
and from what I understand- non-prior Rush fans, women and teens with parents at this show who really have no idea beforehand and all getting blown away.
$100 to see decrepid Aerosmith playing sing along or $50 to see youthful, infinitely more talented Rush play for 3 hours...
that was easy!

Jeff, ditto. Labor Day was a lot of fun in spite of the weather. Enjoyed meeting and hanging with Mike and Luanne, good people with a beautiful Hustler. Reopening of the porch was awesome for a couple nights. It was an excellent season from Oswego to Sodus to A Bay. Boats out, cleaned, and winterized already. Busy fall ahead.................why do the call them Roofies??? Hey Mike, what happened with the tire? That wouldn't happen to an Italian.......

It's been a month and not one post? Anyway, We took the boat out for what may be the last time this year (weather pending) Sat 70ish ran north up thru 3-5's in Lake Huron 20 miles to lexington. Stayed the night. Woke up to the sun shining bright on Sunday and the winds changed 18- degrees. took of morth again to Port Sanilac. Then from there took her out about 12-15 miles and sat in the middle of the lake (high 70's maybe even 80) the biggest wave out there was lucky to be 1 foot and was most likely a stray cruiser wake. Ran back to the river on a flat lake to find all the boats and chop in the river. Still a great lasty run if it is. SO any other fools out there still have their boats ready for that one last run or is it just me?

That sounds great Al, I'm jealous but unforntuneatly I have been working a Columbus day sale for the last 4 days.
I just winterized my boat yesterday afternoon and put in the garage for the winter.
Time for the sleds to come out.
It is going to be a long winter for me. I just made the appointment to get knee surgery. I can't take it any longer.
So on that note I am note sure how much riding if any at all will be in store for me this winter.

Well it's official Mike and Kitty are the new "Mr. & Mrs. Corcoran".
It was my pleasure to witness there wonderful day in Las Vegas with some of their family and friends.
Seeing them smiling together that day was as electrifying as the water fall show at the Bellagio at nighttime.
It was my first time to Vegas .... and I couldn't of asked for a better time.
From the flipping of the bottles by Rene at the Carnival to the flick flic flick slap flick slap flick offerimg "Hot Girls in 20 min." to the sights of the magnificent resorts to the "Sun Buggy" dune buggy racing we (boys) did in the desert to an off the hook dinner at Carnevino Italian Steakhouse followed by an absolutely perfectly planned wedding at the Venetian Resort on one of their beautiful terraces.
All in all we had an incredible time.
Thank-you for including all of us on your special day!
Congratulations to the both of you !!!
