How the heck do you buff the rubrail? You gotta start a new thread on that one. I think Moeron installed a stainless insert over the original rubrail but I don't remember seeing pictures. How about buffing/painting white/then stainless insert?
Oh yeah, 454 I live down here and if I can help pick up stuff at Taco and ship, lemme know. I might also be able to talk a local supplier/dealer into being more accomodating with shipping. No promise, but I'd be happy to ask.

P.S. this happened purely by mistake ... i was wondering what would happened if i tried it ... mine was marked up pretty good. when i was done my buddies thought i put a new one on.

I think i may try to tackle that project this spring before boating season. I finished cleaning up my drives and mounting new coil brackets/coils this weekend. I also got the front of the bow sanded (1500 grit DA), buffed (wizards polish), then waxed with mother's marine grade. It turned out really good, so good that the rub rail is bothering me enough! I think for now i will just try to repaint it. If i do start that project i will start a new thread with pics.
