Just added to the Formula stable today. I bought an 85 242 LS with twin FWC 350's. Guess I'll park it next to the F20 SC.

1984 Formula 242SF
I have a rare 1984 242 Sport Fisherman. It was totally repowered with a 2001 496MAG(8.1) 375HP Mercruiser with a 1.5 Bravo1 outdrive. I installed the new Smart Craft Tach and GPS Speedo. Had prop worked, a 22" pitch Bravo 4 blade, to reach 4600 RPM's and 56MPH. It needed 16" tabs to trim boat.
This boat has a 133 gal fuel tank. Weighs close to 7000#'s when loaded. |

Thanks to a member on this board who sold me a SS 23 P prop I now am getting close to the 70mph mark. |

1999 252 SS. First new boat and lovin it!! The 7.4MPI was all that my budget could cover without payments - wished I could've borrowed enough to at least get the MAG - Oh well, maybe the next boat - hhhmmmm - one of those sweet 292's w/twin Scorpions. Yeah baby!!

Just got a 2001 382 Fastech with 575SCI's. It is currently being fitted with a Race Fairing to replace the winshield. Only had it out 1 day in Kentucky and then 3 days out at Lake Mead.

Actually that picture is with the drives all the way in. If I trim out at all, it starts porposing badly.

Cuda: If you're throwing that rooster tail with the drives all the way in, and you have a common outdrive system, something is not right. What is the angle of the prop shaft to the bottom of the boat when the outdrive is trimmed in?

They are alpha drives. I would get a measurement for the angle, but I just now tilted them up to go out. They appear to be at a negative trim.
