I went from a 242 to a 271. The ride difference is very noticeable. It is a 24 degree hull. Mine hade an HP 500 and ran 69-70 on the GPS. With a 502 you'll be looking at 62 to 63. It now has a 540ci 675Hp motor. Now it's a ton of fun. 82 MPH and the accelleration is unbelievable!

Just bought a 1995 271 SR1 Indy 500 Limited Edition Today!!
My first offshore powerboat--I think I did good on getting what everyone is calling the Rolls-Royce of Boat manufacturers and to top that off-- I just heard that there were only 20 of these ever made?? Could anyone confirm that for me-- I bought it before I even knew it was rare: New 502, new gelcoat & graphics(I know they removed the old indy graphics and did more of an updated "checkered-flag swooshed" on the sides) -- It really looks awesome--the boat is in very very excellent condition--sweet for a 95--I looked for 3 months and nothing touched this one--& especially the price--I think I stole it!! I'm stoked!!!!!

I bought it in San Diego for $22K, I just tried to post some pic's--not sure it went into the right heading-I'm new at this.
Anyway, it has power seats, flawless interior, beautiful triple axle trailer, original covers, new EMI Thunder exhaust, just over $21,000 put into it int he last year!!! All the original manuals/original buyers papers/orig. Formula press releases & 1996 Powerboat mag featuring this boat--it really is a dream boat, I'm still pinching myself!!!
