Default Horn is driving me batty - Anyone seen this?

Last few times out the 292 horn has not been functional - Can hear the compressor motor run, and when I have someone press the button while I pinch the hose from the compressor to the horn I feel pressure, but lrelease the pinch and still no sound.

Since my boat is strored across from a boat repair shop, last week I asked them to check it out...and of course on the trailer, nothing else running, it works fine and they think I'm outta my mind saying it is broken.

Splashed it yesterday, and again there is no *&$% horn, just the compressor whine. Any suggestions?

Replace it...Your horn diaphram is shot. Works once in a while , but not always. If you push the horn button several times quickly, you might get a few blasts out of it. Mine did the same thing. I ended up replacing the compressor while I was in there, just beacuse.

Is your 03 possibly still in the Passport 5 year warranty? If so,horn is covered.

Unfortunately I am the 3rd owner, and my understanding is that in 2003 the warranty did not cover subsequent owners.

That's correct. Starting in 06 it is unlimited traansfers. You also might try taking the horn apart, cleaning the diaphram, and reassemble. Sometimes works, sometimes not.

Mine gets stuck sometimes I take off the hose and stick a rubber tipped blow gun hooked up to 120 psi in the horn inlet. That usually fixes it.Then shoot some air tool oil in there
