Is that a new color finish CMI makes for their headers? Looks kind of Bronz in color....kind of like they got cooked...Don't worry I think it will buff out.....

Default gold headers

Brian,

They got cooked a bit due to the water lines being inadequate last year.. Besides, I do not care about the colour that much.. As long as they work I'm fine.. In addition, the previous motor has been replaced with this red one..

I also have a 700 HP motor that will go in once it's finished being built, with a Stellings box and IMCO SC drive..

Blue, I was reading some old posts, did you ever do any hull work to remove the hook?

Hi H,

I have not done anything about the hook yet.. I will test the boat with the Ext. Box, -1 shorty, and big motor first before touching the hull.. I heard it may only gain 5-6 Mph from discussions with some race guys and a factory tech....

I had the hook removed from my 242LS with big power and got nothing on top end... picked up a little speed/efficiency at cruise.
