I just bought a 2001 382 and the boat was repowered from 500efi to 496 ho's. The boat has xz drives with 30's. Right now it will only turn 4100 rpm at 62 on gps. Drive ratio is 1.5. Any thought s where to start? thanks

No, this boat from what i have found out is the old tal marine race boat (not the one that sank). The boat was repowered right before it was repo'd. From what I was told it was not raced very much. I am also looking for the ladder that goes in the back. I am trying to put some items back in and make a nice poker run boat. If anyone has one or knows what will fit let me know. Thanks

Those boats come with 28's and bravos....I agree with Magicfloat, try 26 Bravos.

If Brian Hollis (Joker on OSO) is around,he would know that boat well,as he was the driver,or throttleman.

I talked to him about the boat. He has givin me alot of good info and history on it.
