How do i get bad el footrest upp?
Hi,I`v got a Formula 303 SR1 with bad el footrest, annybody knows how to get theese white glasfiber things upp?Appreciate your help, thanks.
502 Magnum. |
Pry off the overlay(gray plastic,it's glued on)You will see some screws under there.Remove the screws and the fiberglass step lifts off, exposing the motor. BTW,many footrest problems are the result of a bad switch on the seat armrest, check it first.

How do I get bad el footrest up
Thanks a lot Magicfloat, yes I will test out the switch first.

Not to correct Magicfloat (cause He's always right....alright 98.5% of the time He's right) The 303 that I owned had carpet on the footrests, the screws were hard to see, but were in the carpet. Feel around for the flat head philips head screws. If I remember right, there were only 2 holding them on!

I pulled the gray mat on mine and saw pop rivets around about a 3" diameter hole. Are you guys saying that the pop rivets are holding the step to the motor and I need to drill them out to access the mechanism? The problem sounds like stripped gears

are you saying the switch causes the motor to go bad or the switch itself may simply be bad? Reason I ask is one footrest does not work. I swapped the unaffected side (driver) switch with the bad side (port) and the port side still didn't work but the driver's side agiain worked fine. I could hear the relay working on the bad side (couldn't before the swap). Obviously I need to replace the port motor. Just need to know if I need to swap the old switch even though it appears to be functional? Sorry for the lengthy question. |
I got a dealer quote for a new motor-$600+. I wasn't expecting that, thought maybe $300. Anyone know where I might find one cheaper?

Sleek 1,
Try contacting stephanie mcleod at mccloed design group through there web site, www. mccleoddesigngroup.com. She quoted me a price of $350.00 for the foot actuator. They also sell any parts for bolster seats including the skins. Good luck. |
Thank you, I'll give them a call.
