Proud new Formula owner
I finally picked up a 1989 357. It was listed on oso - it was the one up in chicago. Left Pittsburgh Friday night at midnight and drove overnight to Chi town. Picked up the boat and turned around and headed back to the 'burgh. Launched it as soon as I got back. Took it right to Heinz Field for the Steeler game. What a great weekend! Love it so far.
I'll work on getting some pics up because I know that is what you all are going to ask for!! |
Oh by the way...
Does anybody have or know where to get a stock VDO tach for my 357? The one is on the fritz? Any recommednations for replacements? Also, I know this is a crazy stab in the dark and completely rediculous, but... does anybody have a set of the glass liquor decantors for sale??? i always loved those! |

I probably have a whole set up that came off a 357. You can have it. I can not get to it quick but if you can hang in there a little bit I almost certain that the tacks were working.

Try this source. I got VDO sending units from them and noticed on their website replacement VDO gauges of our vintage. Very nice guys to work with too.

it has the 420 mercs. they were just stroked to 489 - dyno had them each putting out 500hp. Its also running trs with 24p bravo I props. I'll let you know asap. |

Agreed! Just because the Ronneys can keep players on the football field and out of jail make Me less of a true fan? My family had season tickets for 27 years a three rivers I Bleed Black & Gold :)

thanks again guys. wish i had good news...blew an oil line this weekend....at least that is what I think it is. Gotta do some climbin around and make sure.
Could be worse - i could live in Ohio and have to root for one of their pro football teams!!! Look for us tomorrow morning on ESPN 2 during the mike and mike show. We will be "transom"gating in the background. Obviously my 357 won't be there but my houseboat will. GO STEELERS!!! |
