Default Boilerdady!!!!

I have been renovating my boat over the past few years. It is a 79 302. I am wondering if there is anyone down at Formula that would have the original paint schemes for this boat. I want to work off the original patter that I can see from sanding it down but there are stripes and such that I can not quite make out. I want to work off the original and make some slight changes I think to make it original and personal. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Audio..........I have some older Boating mags with Formulas on the back cover page, but they only go back to about 1984. Now, on those the color scheme looked like 3" stripe below the rub rail and a smaller at the waterline......Overall a solid color on the sides. Let me look some more.

Kaama cat that sounds about right. My boat had a Solid Gold or maybe Brown Stipe on the top. It goes to the first step in the hul about 6-8" down under the rub rail like you said. Then it is solid from there to about 3 " up from the side. From there it lookes like there was a stripe btwn the gold/brown and the red, and also another at the bottom of the side. Those appeared to be stick ons and the rest was paint.

Jon, has your boat been repainted? Completely, or just slightly modified? If I could get some idea, I could check to see if we have any old catalogs or pictures around. I'll be glad to help you if I can!

Jon, I will try to post a couple of scans of the pages from that year's catalog, courtesy of Daryl in TAG—Oops...too big! I will e-mail them to you.

Thank you Boilerdady. I really apreciate it. It you go to the Tech area you will see my restoration project. I hope to get some pictures back from Too Old resized to add some of the progress shots. It is going to be a from the rail down paint job.
