Looking to replace stock manifolds w/ a set of Lightning Headers, want to keep the "silent- thunder" muffler box. usually the tips are about 4''
above the transom plate, where mine go thru and into the muffler box are about 10'' above the plate. Any body else encounter this delema??

I would recomend you skip the lightning headers and go with stainless marine exhaust. They send you the aluminum manifolds, you install and measure to your thru transom pipes and they custom build the exhaust pipe. I had them on a 292 in salt water for 4+ years and they were perfect. I have CMI's on a 419 triple and they continually crack and leak water back into the engines. That's my take!
