GT,

MF is right on the money, best I've seen on mine was 81.4 GPS. Are you in the market?

i have a 2006 353 sport loaded up with gen., ac, tv/dvd, bimini top, and alot more with 496 HO's. it runs 70+, so what if u give up 10 mph, its all about comfort. and this boat has it.im thinking about selling it only because of a very sick family member and it wont get much use come summer. IM me if u want to c pics.

Im suprized is sees 80 with 500's, not bad for a big heavy formula, so how do they feel at 80?

The 353 at 80 is a calm predictable ride. My last boat was a Donzi 28zx that started to get squirrley a little past 70. The difference between a 70 and 80 mph boat has more to do with who you hang out with.

I have a 353 with carb 500s, XR's and extension boxes, and I have seen 85 on GPS, but it will run a consistent 82.

GL353,

If you're running stock 500 carbs, I have to throw the BS flag on your claim of 85 GPS.
