Default Whats better S.T. box or mufflers ?

Thinking about loseing the box and adding mufflers. Who's done it , and was it worth it and why. Thanks in advance.

I took mine off because it rattled and became loose, but I just put strait 8" pipes back on, and they sound great but probably too loud for some places. I would think if you need it to be quiet that the box would be better for performance than mufflers.

If you need mufflers, I'd just leave the box on. I removed mine (no mufflers) and the wife was pissed....3rd time out after that I asked her if the noise was bothersome.....she had forgotten and didn't notice a sound difference.

I'd rather have the ST box then spend the money of mufflers.
