Yea, I already did.(Thanks again for the info 4mulafastech if I forgot to thank you). I am off to Mexico tomorrow for a week, the machine shop tells me I should have something to look at by the time I get back. We are going with the grooves like the new handle trim plate. Should look
awesome!

You're welcome, but actually the thanks should officially be directed to Bill (Shameless). He's the one who gave me the idea!:drink:

Thank you Dave for working on this step/cup holder project. This is one component in the Formula that looks a bit 'cheap' and is screaming for an upgrade! I remember when one of my brothers got in my new 292 for the first time he commented while pointing at the plastic hinged step and said 'that doesn't look like it will last very long...' He had to find something wrong!!:grinser010::rolleyes:

Thanks!!! I did good by not spending money on the Formula, but the Checkmate got real expensive!!!!

cup holder

Hey all: My order for "fat handles" arrived yesterday and I mounted them today. I am anxious to see Dave's cup holder addition. Here is a note to Dave. I noticed the space between the new backing plate and the current plastic cup holder plate is minimal. Your new billet design cannot be any thicker than the current plastic plate or we are all messed up to make this combination work!

Fortunatly for me, my second boat is a pontoon so I have not spent any money yet this year. I sure that will change once they exit the storage building. Time to break into the bling account. By the way do any of you guys have the Eddie Marine part numbers for the handles and backer plates?

Barrydet 04-26-2009 07:55 AM

handles

Here are the Eddie Marine part numbers:
Polished handle- 275-50p
Polished backing plate- 275-35p
Total cost plus shipping was approximately $124. If you call in your
order you can request a clear coat finish at no additional charge. They do stock colors if you wish.
Here are the phone numbers you need:
909-945-2830 or 800-901-2830.

My suggestion is call Bill at Diamond Performance, he knows exactly what this stuff is, actually uses the pics from my handle install in his add. His prices will be better and can/will have the stuff dropped shipped to you. Bill is an advertiser here as well!! You can't ever go wrong with Bill at Diamond Performance!!!
