I was thinking of powder coating all my gauge panels and every other dash panel that is currently black to either merc blue or white and do white face gauges in my 95 271..Anyone do anything like that and have pics? what do you guys think? just trying to freshen up the dull black look

I used adhesive backed vinyl(carbon fiber for me) you may be able to do this and you have limitless possibilities. I got mine from a local sign shop and they even labeld the panel for each gauge

Thats a good idea, i was thinking that too.. the only things that i have to get coated are the metal plates right above the steering wheel and on the passenger side cause all the black paint is chipping off.. did you do anything to those plates?

It's not a formula panel but it is close to the Mercury Blue and no it's not paint, it's vinyl! Give you an idea what the blue and white would look like!

I have Livorsi Monster guages and have painted all my dash panels blue on my fastech 271. I have pictures posted on the Formula section of seriousoffshore.com . I can not get pictures loaded on this site. Jeff Wurl
