Question Need advice on deck hatch...

Hey guys,

I need to replace the deck hatch on my 1986 242-LS. Do I need to buy one directy from Formula, or will an aftermarket one bolt up? I need to measure it, to see if the universal ones they sell are the same size. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

You can still get parts for most of the earlier hatches, depending on what you need. I think it's a Bomar Hatch.

Try Jamestown Distributors at

Email Formula TAG to see if they can offer a BOMAR part number, then order it from Jamestown or similar.

The hatches are available in white, if you want to convert.

check your old hatch for a serial number, then call pompanette customer service. They should be able to give you the correct hatch model. I just went through this to replace the lexan in my front hatch.
