I had my 292 on Lake Erie, but not in 3-5's. The waves on the lake are a lot closer together than the long rollers of an ocean. Would make for a very rough ride. If you are set on the 292, expect to sit out on those days with the NE winds... Seriously though, I had 280S K-Planes installed on mine and it definitely improved the ride and control compared to the stock Bennett tabs, but anything more than 3's on that lake will be a handful. 90% of our boating is on the Mississippi River, where a 292 is perfect! If you have the means, I would look into a 353 or 382.

Ragged....that does sound a bit of an extreme.... I know your boat kicks butt and all...but 3-5's at 90 plus???? There are not too many boats (of ANY model) that can handle that.... safely!

It's a Fountain ...................... and I'm real good!!!

5's might be a bit of a stretch, but 3's are child's play.
Old 5 PM is challenged at 75 on flat water, but he's one of those engineer types,
drinks fancy wine and thinks way too much.

I'm more a Kentucky Bourbon drive it by the seat of your pants kinda guy.

You river folk kill me. I was in 3s on Ontario today, went to Fair Haven for dinner and we had a glass ride back. Benefit of being 20 minutes from your boat.....
