I was chasing the same problem. There really is no fix....I tried the waterproof sprays and really didnt do anything.......the material starts getting stretched and allowing the moisture to seep through. I had to go to my canvas guy and he made me a new one out or a GoreTex material......the water just beads rite off of it.....well worth the money and my interior stays dry.

I've used Starbrite canvas water proofing liquid and it works great. You have to soak it pretty well and let it dry over night. Water beads off for at least two months. It's a bit pricey but not overly, I think like 25 bucks for a gallon. Best to spray it on nice and even. Unless your cover is absolute junk, it should work well for you. You'll need the whole gallon for a cockpit cover on a 30 footer.

I'll second this one. I did the cover on my Velocity a couple times over the years with the Starbrite product. 32 footer used up pretty much the gallon. I used a small garden pump type sprayer, fine mist and go over it in both directions.

ideally for best result with sunbrella the weave should be as "open" as possible just as it is when the water is seeping through ie: snapped on the boat with poles up this "tension" will make for a longer lasting result. good warm sunny day when the cover is "tight" installed

That definately makes sense spraying it while its tight but i dont know about spraying that stuff while the cover is on the boat. I'll probably just lay it in the yard and hopefully i have enough stuff for 2 coats
