NO!...........Most guys want gauges....Smartcraft screen goes out NO tachs, temp, oil pressure, etc. Screens way to small to look at at speed. To many buttons you have to push to get to the info you are looking for............Need More?.........

Default Smartcraft install

I thoroughly enjoy mine! The instrumentation provides a wealth of information at the press of a finger. I installed it in the dash opening to replace the factory installed garmin 172c.

What would you guys say if I was able to offer you both analog guages and smart craft at the same time? I am working on something that could do this soon.

We used to be able to get a smartcraft gauge package years ago in the 280 br/ss but I am not sure if you can still order it. Our factory rep is here this weekend for our big sale, I will ask him and post tomorrow night.........

You can have both Analog gauges and Smartcraft together. You will need a AGI (Analog Gauge Interface) to mate the two together.

I am kind of flipping it around a little bit. Say you have a older boat that does not have Smart Craft. For example a 95 Top Gun or because we are in the Formula area Norts 383 with Whipple chargers on it. I am working on the ability to run his "regular" motors and be able to have the smart craft info come up on his GPS unit. Another example would be my Fomula 311 with 420's I would have to totally replace my dash to get water preasure and oil temp guages in. Instead I will put those two things up on the GPS.

Yes! Never any problems with the SmartCraft. I love it.

Here are just a few cool features:

It gives you fuel mileage in real time to the 0.1 mpg. I have been able to find the best rpm/trim/tab settings using this feature.

After every fill-up you can reset the 'fuel used' feature and it tells you exactly how many gallons have been burned sinced you filled up.

Records max speed and rpm.

Has the steering indicator that shows the exact position of your drives which can be a BIG help when docking in tight spots.

All the engine vitals you would ever need and alarms that will clearly show what the problem is if there is one.
