I am changing out my silent thunder box and going with the Corsa 12650 stainless tips. When making this change I've read on this board to use a 3M product to seal around the transom and exhaust. Was it 3M 5500 product? I can't remember or find the post. Thanks for any help.

I would us 3M 4200 Fast Cure if you want the ability to "easily" remove the tips at a later date. 5200 will work but if you would ever want/have to remove them at a later date it will be a bear to do so. Coat the exposed wood in the transom cutouts with a couple coats of expoxy resin.
