Default Which Octane Gas For 502

Just bought a boat that has a crate 502 with a 4 barrrel carb. What octane of gas should I be burning?

Unless your 502 is built up beyond stock, 87 is all you need.

Yup 87 is all you need. I ussually try and run 89 or 91 in mine just because the gas sits in the tank some times for a while and I want to make sure that the octane does not drop with the Ethenole. Not sure if this is sound thinking or not but figure it can not hurt?

GMPP has 3 different 502 crate motors.

This should be the one you have...
