A bit out of budget range and we really like the more "old school" look of the 87-91 vintage. Besides, the 242 is pushing it as is. Interested on your thoughs of the pros/cons of 242 vs. 271.This was just supposed to be a "tube" boat for the kids, and something easy for the old folks to jump in and go for a cruise or to grab lunch.
I started looking for a 206, decided the 223 was a bit better for what we wanted, and extended to the 242 because there just seem to be more of them out there.

Thought about (and definitely noticed) your 271.

Hi Humbler,
I have a 1988 242LS that is just coming off a full restoration with pictures and documentation. New motor, new paint, all stringers and boxes below deck replaced by a professional fiberglass company. Gas tank was pulled, motor pulled, rerigged. Fully checked. The boat is beautiful. Never been bottom painted. 454 Magnum 365hp all rebuilt by a professional with pictures. Sitting on immaculate Shoreline bunk trailer. Let me know if you are still interested in a vintage restored Formula. Email me at [email protected] for pictures.
Regards,
Peter
