Cliff,

Vinny and Jeff at Strong's Marine put together a little run to Formula's Rendezvous in CT or MA(I forget which). It was a weekend thing and was apparently a real good time. I can get you more info if you'd like (Vinny's a frined of mine---he bought the marina in Riverhead from us)

Jon,

Can your CNC guy make the entire word "Formula"? My logos are starting to stain and I can't get them clean. I'm thinking about replacing the ones on both sides and the transom, so I would need 3 "FORMULA"s and two thunderchickens...

If you guys do make them from stainless be sure to have each piece passivated prior to installation.
Passivation is a chemical process that uses an acid solution to clean the impurities from the surface. Many times iron particals will get imbeded in the surface and cause rust to form. Check with local plating shops.
There is also a reverse chrome plating process that brings the chromium to the surface and makes them look chrome plated. The parts have to polished before that can be done. Any marks or scratches will be magnified.

I should have clarified - I'm looking for them in aluminum. I'm planning to have them powder-coated.

Great, now even more to have to think about. Mine are starting to look a little old too, but "S-100 Total Finish Restorer" from bike shops, does a real good job of cleaning the plastic ones up. It's like "semi-chrome", but works on paint/plastic better. Try it, you'll be surprised.
