Looking For A Used 353

2. Why wouldn't they be replaced to make the boat more appealing to sell?

and often if the owner comes up with the funds in full they are entitled to get there boat back.....then the repo lot would be out the money they put into the boat.

I am in the market for a killer deal on a used 353 Fastech. Somewhere between 2000 and 2005, minimum of 500 HP's....I'm not interested in 496's or standard 502's. Anywhere around retail pricing will not get it!........I had to let my previous boat go too low........ The market is pretty crappy for moving used boats right now. Any leads on agressively priced 353's would be appreciated.

It's a repo.......these things come in all kinds of conditions. The owner probably had pulled them for the winter and put the boat on a storage lot for the winter......then the repo man found it and brought it in. The repo lot isn't in the restoration business so they don't do ANYTHING to the boats they are selling (however minor the needs may be).
and often if the owner comes up with the funds in full they are entitled to get there boat back.....then the repo lot would be out the money they put into the boat.

That was my point. In repo lots I've seen mint condition boats and ones that should been left to sink.....you just never know what to expect until you inspect each one individually. Alot of people remove props and batteries for winter storage so that was my guess on this one.
