Default Formula bolster height

i just installed a set of McLeod power bolsters in my 242. These were out of a '99 312. They fit nice except my feet are probably 4" from the floor. I could modify everything and lower the seat but I really don't feel like cutting everything up. I'd rather modify the footrests somehow. The 271 is very similar the the 242, how high is the top of the seat from the floor. Any input on this is greatly welcome.

In my experience, most boats with bolsters have footrests for your feet to touch. When seated in a bolster seat, you are not supposed to touch the floor. That is also the reason why in the newer Formula Fastechs, they have power adjustable footrests.

Thats kind of what I thought. It seems Donzi and Cig have lower bolsters than formula but I see the function for the higher height. Anyone have any ideas on how to fabricate a nice looking set of footrests?

I would love to see some pictures of the set up. I love my bolsters but would not mind an upgrade in the future.

I'll get some pictures as soon as I get them mounted. I'm in the middle of a complete refit so it might be a couple of weeks. This little 242 is going to be nice when its all done though.

Still wondering if anyone with a 271 can measure the distance from the floor to the top of the seat bottom. My Mcleods I'm installing have the 24" legs and I think I need to trim about 3" off them. Before i do I want to see what formula used on the 271. Thanks for any input .

If anyone else is interested in this info the 271 and 292 use a 22" leg. All others use a 24" leg. I called Stephanie at McLeod for the info, formula didn't know.
