1979 Formula 233LS what's a good price? Help.

That's a tought call. Older boat with an obvious engine and drive update. Got any pictures? It could be a gem and it could be a hacked-up pile of whatnot. With a boat of that age, price is not an established thing. Condition and what someone is willing to shell out dictate the value. I know that's not much help but if you post some more info and pictures we can all assess value better. What's the asking price?

I think that price is high! From the pictures you have listed I'd give that boat a "fair" rating... It's by no means excellent. You could get a nice 87+ 242 for that price range. In my opinion a much nicer boat. I'd say $6500 -7500 may be a fair price. By the way, MSD boxes are nothing but trouble. That would be the first thing I will pull off that boat. Do a search for MSD in the q&a section, you'll see lots of problem posts with them! Personally I'd steer clear of that boat.
