Is this the engine? http://sites.mercurymarine.com/porta..._schema=PORTAL Do you have any problem finding 91 octane? How do they sound compared to the orginal 6.2's? I bet they really wake-up that 292! Let us know what you can get out of her. |
4mulafstech yes that is the engine, i had the plenum covers painted blue and the valve covers powder coated, as far as the sound, when i have the exhaust open, at idle and when its running it sounds really good you can hear the cam. as far as the power its like having a new boat. the midrange is superb, i have not topped here out yet. Im going to see this weekend. i run 93 octane it all the time.

Did you have to trim or shorten the Quick&Quite Corsa Y-pipes to fit the Stainless Marine exhaust manifolds? |

You do know that you can not get these engines in a new 292 and they are totaly different from stock 6.2s 377 ci ? |
