Yup. Limited to 2002-2004 boats or a high hours 5.0/350/6.2 boat looking for re-power. Also know there are very few out there that are clean/freshwater boats that were not beat on. I also like the original scoprion boats as they came with hydraulic steering where as most other 292 you had to have specifically ask the factory to put it on or put it on yourself.

Are there any performance numbers on the 383 Scorpion Formula yet?
I've recieved my 2004 292 Fastech /w 377 Scorpions a week ago. It ran 74,8mph on GPS the first run with full tank and 3 passengers. I absolutely love this boat. A whole other deal than the 271.

is it enough to go to the 292 once youve had the 271? or do you need to get a 312 or bigger to feel like youve really stepped up in ride and space?

The step was the right one for me at least. It feels like a bigger difference than 2ft, and I will probably stay with the 292 for a while now.
But I guess it all depends on where you're boating.

I'm in the great lakes, and we just neeed a touch more room, love the idea of a 292 because of the smaller engines, but same mph as the 312
