My 312 ran fine with the 30's that were on it, but they were there when I bought it. (502's w/30s)

Do you still have the 28's?
Maybe take them to have some cup/bow-lift added to them to reduce rpm AND help increase bow-lift and speed.

Brett at BBlades added lots of cup to my Bravo 1 which pulls the bow up and needs less trim to do so which in turn gets the prop slip down...as a side note cupping the prop will pull the rpm down...could be a win/ win.
Give BBlades a call, they should be able to help you out.

Try turning your props in. My 312 was set up that way when I bought it. I think the single step runs flatter than a two step. After I get on plane I always trim it up some depending on the load, otherwise it will tend to run flat like you stated.

yes i was planning on switching the props left to right and just run in reverse to see how it acts . i was thinking turning in would give more stern lift less bow lift .im just very surprised my 97 382 i just sold had a ton of bow lift and had the stock 26 bravo 1.s still on it . i have to say i miss it already . thanks for your help i will try changing the props during the week
