Default Nav Switch Issue on 88 242

The "navigation light" dashboard switch seems to be not working. Neither the bow or stern light or the switch light itself are working?? Where can I buy a replacement?

Gonna go out on a limb here, but did you check the bulbs?

Thanks yes I relaced both of them. If the toggle stops lighting up red does that mean the switch is definately gone?

The back-lit red for the toggle is from a bulb behind the dash. That bulb may be shot. Chances are the switch is ok.

I have the same problem, but my switch/breaker is bad. And yes, where can they be found ? These are very hard to find for sure.

Guys, i called the local Formula dealer and they in turn called Formula directly and these switches are no longer available. I have 2 bad switches so maybe i'll sell all the good ones and retrofit new switches of a different type, or maybe someone has already done this and has the old switches available for sale? I may start a new thread looking for switches.

Did anyone get anywhere sourcing replacement switches for S-R1 generation dash switches (nav, blower, bilge etc)? My nav switch has just failed...it's done 20yrs so not bad i guess but now i am stuck.

I'm aware they are circuit breaker switches so i cant just put a normal toggle in it's place...anybody got any ideas??

Cheers

On mine the breakers are on the panel below the dash. I found a replacement switch at my local boat shop. They did not seem to think it was to odd of a item.

I have an 89 223 LS and the switches do have an internal breaker built into them. I haven't attempted to find any new ones yet but do an online search for the manufacturer name on the switch. I would look at mine but the boat has a couple feet of snow on it right now!
