I searched and it has been discussed a little but not recently. Has anybody bought one from VDO or found a direct replacement?

I do have an email in to VDO. Will see if I get a response.

Trying to get the old bird spiffed up. She is packin' 540s that dynoed 638hp and 640hp but I have not been on the water much in last two years and have not even picked up new props to try yet. Will post results as they come.
