I just picked up a 2006 Formula 400 SS, but am away from the boat for awhile and don't remember the details on the anchor. Does anyone have any experience with the anchor that comes with that boat? I may buy a supplemental anchor, perhaps a Rocna 20, as I anchor overnight quite a bit. I noticed many of the boats in my home port of Bayfield, WI have two anchors rigged off the bow. Like them, we'll venture out to the islands and anchor in what the weather forecast predicts to a be the safest side of an island. Naturally, you don't want to have insufficient anchorage when you're out on an island in Lake Superior with your family. Thanks!

I doubt that you would ever need a second anchor for holding unless you have very strong tidal current to contend with. I too have a 2006 400SS and anchor out in the Hudson over night. Never had a problem. I do sometimes throw out a stern anchor when we're swimming in the shallow areas, but otherwise what comes with the boat is perfect.
