Formula Fastech 292 Trailer Suggestion

What do members recommend for a trailer?

Tri axle vs tandem axle
Aluminum vs galvanized steel

Thanks.

I tow mine with a tandem axle loadright galvanized.Tows fine but the trailer is ok.May get an aluminum Myco depends how long I keep the boat.So in short tandem is fine and I would get aluminum even if you boat in fresh water.With a steel trailer you limit yourself on resale to only fresh water boaters.And get a Myco.

just double the weight of the boat for the trailer capacity and you will be fine....

Mine is on a steel tri-axle made by Prestige. Tows absolutely perfect behind a 2500HD Silverado.

I have a dual axle steel painted Manning. Tows great, looks great...but I'd get a aluminum next time for sure......

it sounds like i can go with a tandem axle. How close will i be pushing the limit of the trailer with an aluminum dual axle. A dealer told me a tri would be required.

I live in Central ct and would want to tow the 292 to RI on occasion. Would this be doable on a dual?

I rather stay local on a trailer. I already received a qoute for a tri...4200 (load rite)...They matched fast loads price.

I think that is the best I am gonna do unless I go used.

[QUOTE=moses0324;3168660]or a tri...4200 (load rite)...

I would not buy another load right.

I realize people are of differing opinions on everything in life, but my father has a tandem load rite and has yet to have a problem.

The build quality is descent (no rust) and it seems to ride nice. For the price, I cant do much better brand new.

4200 is awful cheap, guess you get what u pay for
