Times are tuff and it is a buyers market with all the repo boats out there, BUT they will be gone eventually and maybe that will help the used boat market grow stronger.
As I said in my last post the bad things happening to people like Robert and his customers is sad............

No I don't have a problem with Trenton were I bought my boat. They were worthless for parts so the few things I needed I got from Robert. While I would not say that Trenton was a bad dealer I just got better service from a guy who did not even sell me the boat.
The thing with Robert just rubbed me the wrong way I know he will be fine its just wrong.I would also like to know how when I bought my Formula I was told how great Formula's hold their value, now they are a hard boat to sell.I know the whole market is bad but it seems that the Fastechs took a harder hit than other brands.
What stinks is the money that I am upside down on my boat is basically whats keeping me from my next boat. But I can handle that just pay it off and take the loss.It will back me up a year or two but it is what it is.

This is not the first time I have heard this about your ex-dealer. And this is also why I joined several different web sites to help upset customers. The fact that the resale value is in the tank on your Fas-tech is in the fact that ALL performance boats are at the bottom of the resale curve. The fact of all the repo boats is not helping the issue either!......

these 'po's will be right back in the used market undervalued and undermining our used values for years to come...

It is unfortunate that Robert is gone from the Formula network, but as he stated,he has other lines of boats, hopefully cheaper. And I think that is what we will see selling for quite a few more years. Just my opinion. Can a new Formula be bought direct from the manufacturer, like Fountain. I have never got a specific number from a dealer on a new boat. If you price one on the Formula website, the list price is insane. Close to $500,000 for a loaded 382 with 600,s.

As far as I know they are not "currently" direct and yes that price is crazy. You could almost buy two 36 Pantera's for that price. And have the owner pick up the phone if you call.

Who pays list price? You might get UP TO 40% off on certain models and these are not repo's. Formula needs to get rid of the smoke and mirrors pricing strategies. I pulled up to a marina dock a few weeks ago and some guy was talking about how "that's a $600K" boat, but you know that is really not the case and it makes things too confusing for people who are actually buyers.

I would have a lot of fun with a 382 with 700's but I am currently in a boat which is just about perfect for someone with twin two year old boys...boat name is "Double Trouble II" and she frequents Lake Superior and Lake Michigan, home port being Port Superior marina (Bayfield, WI).

Double,
I did see that you have the 40ss,but you posted that you bought two boats this year. That would be quite the arsenal of Formulas. Anyone know were the Double Trouble 700 382 is? Or the 382 that was at Commonwealth Boat Brokers a few months ago? I believe that was a 600 boat.

BTW cool name with the twin boys!
