Got batteries in it tonight and started testing systems.

Im not sure if i have a problem with the bilge systems or not. the light on the dash is lit all the time.if you flip it on nothing seems to happen. the hatch actuator doesnt work, that is a huge pain in the rear! Most of the 12V systems came up, the OG tape deck doesnt work... and to think i was gonna go pull out my old tapes hehehehe. Surprisingly the seat motors still work, i think i have a bad switch on the port side for the foot rests, but the stbd side works.

It may get put in the water this weekend to check a few more systems, but thats not set in stone yet. I would like to test as much as we can before it gets dry dock'd.

Oh and moving it last night i had a tire fall off heheehh i guess i burned out the bearings bringing it home. Im just glad i fell off in my dads driveway and not going 60 down the highway. The trailer is HURT! fenders are falling apart, no safety hook up front. no safety straps, brakes are shot, hubs are shot. Its going to cost a few thousand just to get the trailer through DMV.

If you can do the work on the trailer yourself, convert it to disc brakes with the electric over hydrolic system. If you are not going to do alot of trailering just do what is needed to make it road worthy. I recomend a full check over at least once a year as in pulling the wheels and check everything. LED Lights are also a big plus as they hold up far better than regular bulbs. That trailer is a steel trailer so pay close attention to the frame. If you cannot do the work yourself, it maybe time to look into a replacement trailer. But check it out before you buy.

It always looked to me like they were doing a throwback kind of thing to the older "hockey stick" graphics. The guy that used to own that boat was an M&M fanatic. He actually contacted them and got permission to have the whole boat painted in M&M graphics, but his life plans changed and he sold the boat before he re-painted it. Just think how cheap it would have sold for if it had M&Ms painted all over it :drink::drink:

As with any new boat or trailer....................check everything out before you go out.....................

Yes I agree, check everything. I would drain and refil the motors and drives also. Plugs, rotors, caps and wires. Make sure all the important stuff is wroking well... then happy winter tinkering.

I have been a big 4wheel drive guy for the last 10 years or so building jeeps from the ground up, i dont mind the work. Pretty much why i bought this was to have a winter project and get out of the 4wheel drive stuff. Just trading once sickness for another.

Congratulations! I think I looked at that same boat about 6 or 7 years ago but I think it was in NJ. Those are very rare graphics but I really liked them. Also you don't see many trailers that color. I ended up getting an older 357 SR1 that was in great shape and a little more in my price range at the time. However I have since upgraded to a '97 382 which I love. These are great boats. The only difference between yours and mine is the stepped hull and a few cosmetic things. My 382 had a solid hull and drivetrain (500 HP's/Bravo's) but interior needed TLC (was not well taken care of) but the price was right and I figured I could take care of the all the cabin/cockpit stuff myself. There were a lot of things that didn't work but they all do now (just found the horn - it's an air horn, you won't believe where it is located). I also replaced the dash/gauges, had the throttles and trim gauge bezel chromed, and added a new steering wheel (blinged it up a little bit). Anyway, those things aren't that tough to fix/upgrade and you will find a lot of help on this thread. If you have a question on how something works or how to get at it, throw a question on the forum and you will start to get answers before the day is out. Everyone is very helpful.
