Default Winter upgrades

Ive started on my winter upgrades. The first thing that im doing is putting new auto meter guages, with carbon fiber vynil sticker for the dash. Do you guys think that it will look fine if i don't put use bezels and if you think i should what color (palm springs are the colors of the boat). The next thing that i am going to do is put new carpet in the cuddy of the boat. Any pointers on how this should be done is appriciated. I install granite in people's house's for a living or for now until I get a real job, and I was thinking about putting a piece down in the cuddy where the sink is now. Ill post some pictures as I go for those of you that are interested.

Use snaps so you can remove the carpet.

If I ever take it out which I doubt I ever will it is going to look like ****. I was thinking more along the lines of using some kind of glue or adhesive and make it permanent.

Did you use an aluminum plate? If so, what guage?

I just used the original factory plate and filled the groves with bondo, cleaned it with alcohol and applied the vynil.
