I would get a Bravo 1 24 if you are close to sea level. You should be able to gain 150-250 RPM if needed by labbing the 24. The 3 blade will give you a faster straight line top speed but I think you will be happier overall with the 4 blade Bravo 1.

Ok, I just bought a 4blade 24p Bravo. Also heard that a Hydromotive 24p 4 blade would be a good choice?!
I think Ill try a Mirage plus 23p to..
The calculated speed of a 23p prop would be 62mph @5000rpm and 15% slip. I dont think the boat will go any faster with a 496HO..
The calculated speed with a 24p would be 65 with same rpms and slip. But i dont think I can make 5000rpm with a 24p?

I don't think you'll ever see 65 MPH (or 62 MPH for that matter) in a 242LS with 425HP regardless of the prop. My guess is best case scenario with that motor is 58-60 MPH. I had a 242LS with a built 620HP motor that would hit 71MPH on a good day spinning a 27P Mirage Plus. Slip is going to be your problem.
The 242 likes a 3-blade prop for top end. I would look at the 23 Mirage Plus or a 25P Mirage (non plus) if you can find one. I think you'll have a hard time spinning a 25 Mirage Plus. If you want better crusing speed, the 22 Bravo One or labbed 24Bravo One. I don't think you'll be able to spin the 24 Bravo One near 5000RPM without labbing it.
I ran a 24P Hydromotive 4 blade on mine and it lifted the stern too much making the boat a handful to drive. The Bravo One would work better in my opinion. I doubt you could spin a 24P Hydromotive 4-blade with that motor anyway.
